Microsoft .NET/C# Analyst & Programmer

MicroAssist is seeking to fill a Programmer/Analyst position to work on a medium scale application.   Candidates must have real-world experience developing applications and have strong analysis skills.   Candidates must have excellent communication skills since they will frequently be working directly with the client.  Work will include web-based projects that are largely data-driven and therefore require an understanding of MS SQL Server.   You will performs as the technical expert with thorough understanding of the business application of an assigned project.  Prefered qualifications include: 

  •  Strong understanding of ASP .NET Framework
  •  Strong ASP.NET C# Programming skills
  •  Full lifecycle experience supporting software development projects and a demonstrable understanding of the accepted practices of software development life cycle management
  •  Excellent analytical skills
  •  Proven experience building enterprise-level applications (please include examples)
  •  Strong written and verbal skills

Adobe Captivate 4 Developer with Instructional Design experience

MicroAssist is currently seeking a part-time or contract Adobe Captivate 4 developer with instructional design experience.  The position will work extensively with customers and internal stakeholders to support the administration, management, and development of E-Learning courses.    If interested, please contact MicroAssist at resume@microassist.net

Captivate Skillset

  • Fully aware of Adobe 4's features, capabilities, and bugs.
  • Be able to record and a sophisticated demonstration that includes audio, branching
  • Be able to create assessments that include question pools
  • Be able to create and edit sophisticated simulations
  • Be able to create an accessible project (508 compliant)
  • Be comfortable using Captivate Widgets (Bookmark, Certificate, etc)
  • Be able to create, edit, and test scripts in Captivate
  • Integrate Captivate with Learning Management Systems.

 
Content Development and Support

  • Consult with and support course developers and subject matter experts in the capabilities and use of Adobe Captivate 4
  • Work with the Instructional Designer to take the module storyboards (as they are completed) and build the finished online modules using Captivate.
  • Provide instructional design assistance and expertise for course development efforts.
  • Test course functionality.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues in Captivate.
  • Provide consultation and expertise on behalf of internal clients working with external vendors who are developing E-Learning courses.
  • Identify and help to implement best practices in E-Learning.

Content Management/LMS Support

  • Provide hands-on assistance to internal clients when needed (upload/remove/administer courses).
  • Assist with the review of content and work with internal stakeholders to determine effective methods for promoting and delivering new content.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to improve the content loading and management process and to increase self sufficiency in course administration across businesses and functions.  Develop and deliver training in content administration procedures.
  • When needed, assist with the management of course specific data within the LMS to ensure that reporting is accurate and efficient.

Instructor Position

This instructor position requires an IT Instructor with at least two years of classroom training experience. Candidates should be comfortable working and developing within the Windows environments. Applicants should have experience training advanced classes such as .NET, Visual Basic, SQL Server and have a strong knowledge of databases.

Sharepoint Instructor

MicroAssist is growing and is looking for quality, skilled SharePoint software instructors to ensure student satisfaction according to program objectives.  In addition to having effective presentation skills, seasoned instructors will be proficient teaching students how to:

  • Work with Lists & Libraries
  • Communicate with Team Members
  • Work Remotely with SharePoint Content with Mobile Devices and Office 2007 Documents
  • Customize the SharePoint Environment (Personal, Alerts, RSS Feeds, Resources, etc.)
  • Create a Team Site (Workspace, Public Views, Libraries, Surveys, etc.)
  • Performing Administration (Manage User Groups, Manage Site Appearance, Perform Content Management)
  • Manage Site Collections, Lists, Discussion Boards, Document & Form Libraries, Permissions, WSS Content and Workflows
  • Work with Indexing and Searching Options
  • Use Central Administration Features
  • Manage Security Options in WSS
  • Manage Site Usage and Backup Processes
     

Required Skills:

Candidate must have SharePoint teaching expertise and some integration knowledge.  Web site administration experience is also a plus.
